And then there was not as much joy
We went to the circus last night and it was loads of fun. I have pictures, and I will post, but I can’t get over the fact that on our way home from the circus we saw this:

A fatal motorcycle accident. And the sadness. And the questions from the children. And the sadness about how much money was spent on flashing plastic swords, but the gratitude that at least we are still alive to play with them.
sometimes it hurts so much to be reminded of our mortality. and i’m sorry if your children had to see something so horrible.

Oh that sucks. Nice bit about the plastic swords. Maybe you’ll never have to give the “don’t ride motorcycle” lecture now to your kids.
